I've been saying this from the start.....I see no reason to believe we are wrong and more and more evidence we are right. It seems to be more about "herding the sheeple"  than "public safety".

How do you brainwash an entire nation?
How do you get people to start snitching on their neighbors if they aren’t social distancing?
How do you convince people that it’s okay to violate their God-given rights?
All it takes is five little words from our politicians…
“It’s for the greater good.”
“No, you can’t go to church on Easter, it’s for the greater good.”
“No, gun shops need to be closed, it’s for the greater good.”
“No, you can’t leave your house unless it’s for a reason I approve, it’s for the greater good.”
Nonsense.
Baloney.
Here’s a quote from the Kansas Attorney General, a politician who actually has his head on straight…
"Today's judicial ruling is a much-needed reminder that the Constitution is not under a stay-home order and the Bill of Rights cannot be quarantined."
"The Constitution protects our liberties especially during times of crisis, when history reveals governments too quick to sacrifice rights of the few to calm fears of the many."
Amen to that.
I think far too many Americans forget that God gave all of us a brain and we should use it and not just blindly follow what some Governor tells us.
You and I have our own ability to make judgements.
And, as a clever sign said at one of the protests over the weekend, “Give me liberty or give me COVID-19.”
Don’t sacrifice your freedoms…
Don’t let the “sheeple masses” bully you into giving up your rights that our Founding Fathers and so many others risked everything for.
Think for yourself.
Take care of yourself.
Question everything.
Stay safe,

Fear is and has always been a very effective tool to brainwash people.  I wish I had a dime for each time the phrase "deadly virus" came up on the media.  Yet, if you look at the overall number of deaths, it's not as deadly (if the death was really caused by Corona virus, not with Corona virus) as the seasonal flu which the vaccine already exists.

As the libs mantra goes, "never let a serious crisis go to waste".  If there is no serious crisis, they will make one up.

I see the  press has resurrected the phrase "new normal" from the days of Obama deflecting economic disaster.

So, I guess we will be grub hubbing forever and using magazines for toilet tissue.

It's a shame all the banks and liquor stores are closed.

With everyone wearing a mask, it's the perfect time to start a life of crime  Grin

Start?  You are little behind.  That's a good thing in this context. Smiley

I agree, Ed, a BIG amen to that. These assholes with their, "If a prolonged shut-down saves just one life, then it's worth it" mantra make me sick. I'd like a crystal ball to show them the increased suicide, rampant alcoholism, drug addiction, and soaring divorce rates this economic shut-down's going to cause, both short and long term, but I doubt they'd care. The socialist leaders want that destruction to happen, because it increases dependency on the government, and they've convinced the "sheeple" that they're the caring, loving ones by helping carrying out the dastardly plan.

My wife has been scared into submission.  It's hard to watch and she's not fun to live with.  She has good and bad days; there's no predicting how she reacts.  I have resentment for the media and politicians that portray this health hiccup as the "end times" as I witness how stressed my wife has become.  I can't approach the subject without provoking anger.

Now... multiply that situation by millions.  Therapy will become a component of the "new normal".

COVID seems to mimic the climate change hysteria embraced by those who can profit from wealth redistribution.  In this case (as everything), this unfortunate event is being manipulated for control.

If the DNC cancels the convention in July, uncle Joe could have a Sanders moment.  Charlotte's mayor is already planting seeds to reconsider the RNC event in August.

BTW, I have enough toilet paper to wipe everyone in my county (thanks to my wife).  If my house catches fire, it'll burn for six months.  Grin

Hi Henry. Sorry for my late response, and even more sorry to hear your wife was so scared. Hopefully that has been lessened by now.

I don't often quote FDR, but he was right when he said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself". The current day Socialists he spawned have bastardized that to "The only tool we have is fear itself", and I have to give them credit where it's due, they do use it well! They destroyed the best economy the USA has ever known, based on guesses, fake models, and fear.
