Don´t wield temptation, brother - Ed might feel up to it.   Grin

I remember having a good grin when a German mag tested a Thomas Scheu turntable against some megabucks SciFi contraption.
Instead of having parts tailormade, T.S. used to search engineering catalogs for things fabricated in bulk to even tighter tolerances and literally costing pennies before he started drawing.

As you will have guessed, the "redneck solution" won hands down. Sounds familiar?

Ed, does one read an old hand here?

Sherwood used to spend a lot of money on decent DC rather than doing trickery eeklacktronics.

This is, of course, not meant as an elbowjab to someone deaf in Carolina... Grin

Angry So I now know what to expect here.

Up to now I´ve been in heaven. Internet and telephone via TV cable without using cable TV. Internet flatrate 24/7, telephone flatrate within Germany, ridicolously cheap overseas calls - the whole bundle for €30. Plus €75 for every neighbour I lure into the trap.

Now they got the market saturated...

"You want cable TV."   "No."
"But it´s cheap!"   "No."
"You want cable TV."   "No."
"Less than anyone else will offer!"   "No."
"You want cable TV."   "No."
"You´ll get special prices for 20 payTV channels!"   "No."
"You want cable TV."   "No."
"Imagine, all the important football (soccer) matches!"  "No."
"You want cable TV."   "No."
"All the English snooker and darts tournaments!"   "No."

And just imagine the funny coincidence: every time I say "NO", my net speed drops.

???Took you long time and gallons of mead to get there!
There is one rocket scientist in Leesville who builds smileboosters, just ask him.

BTW - I recenty visited with mine old mom and sis
They say your BBQ dry rub is a marvel!

Vote her.
If she doesn´t get the Job, someone even stupider (like her daughter) might try.

Angry One can´t but wonder why things like that never happen to assholes.

Oh boy - that´s some lady!
Look where I grew up:

So I b****y well know the moment you lose self-confidence and try to slow down in deep sand , is the moment you start chewing the stuff -
seems like Helen isn´t a blushing flower when judging her own abilities.

Give her a big hug, there aren´t many like her.

LOL, mead...your forefathers must be Saxons or Vikings. Grin
9  General Category / Guns, Motorcycles and other toys / Re: Sad news, Helen's Spanish Girlfriend :( on: May 30, 2014, 10:21:48 AM
Ed, don´t be such an ingrate.

Other girls slammed you into the nearest convenient tree, Ting Ting just went with someone nicer.
She must have loved you, once... Cry

Grin Henry, anyone who tries to do anything unwanted to a lady will very quickly learn about the difference between "pesky" and "hospital",
and usually she doesn´t even need a bodyguard.

30+ years in a casino...our girls are pretty and small, but considering them easy prey is a very silly idea.
Latest crew finishes at about 3:30am and walks to their cars.
Believing all the bulges under what they wear is something you want to look at - bad plan.

Ed, there is a difference between punishment and pest control.
The latter ought to be mandatory.
12  General Category / Guns, Motorcycles and other toys / Re: Girl Safety on: May 16, 2014, 03:56:01 PM
Grin You mean a short flash of the tiny lamp and a good kick with the swing of your tiny girl´s  superlegs?
Some doctor will have rather a job restauring someone´s courting tackle.

And, old friend - beating the retreat instead of killing someone who is just drunk or stupid...I don´t need to explain weapons to a Southerner who knows when a bullet is needed and when a word will do, right?
13  General Category / Guns, Motorcycles and other toys / Re: Girl Safety on: May 16, 2014, 02:44:09 PM
Ed, to use that thing she´d have to give away what little distance to the perp she might still have.
I don´t believe in stun guns except as weapons of agression when you can choose time and place.

(You know I´m very fond of the Schilling clan, so you´ll understand I don´t want your "little" girl hurt.)
14  General Category / Guns, Motorcycles and other toys / Re: Helen hauls ass on a 450 Gas Gas! on: May 16, 2014, 02:34:31 PM
Ed, in order to haul anything dimensioned like an ass, Helen would need to buy something of that size.
Sorry about my misunderstanding American English again, but I couldn´t help it. Grin

Please give both your supergirls kisses - they are entitled to a few more.
15  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Dixie Bottleheads on: May 09, 2014, 03:38:13 PM
Sonic, my suspicion is you´re thinking "I could afford it, so it must be crap"

No offence meant, so I hope the kick I get is from a friend.
